Ted is laughing too, but he's definitely laughing a little bit at the situation in addition to being happy. It does nothing to make him want to slow down though, so he doesn't stay long in this slightly haphazard position they've ended up in.
He breaks off the kiss, finally pulling off his socks, and climbing properly into bed. This time he actually pushes aside the covers so they can get in properly.
